I’ve been a Liverpool Football Club supporter all my life and this week is a very special one for a lifelong Red. We have just won the Premier League and have been crowned the Champions of England!

The last time we won the league was in the 89/90 season under the leadership of Kenny Dalglish - or King Kenny as he is known amongst the faithful. At that time, Liverpool were a dominant force in European football, and winning another league was entirely unsurprising after having won it seven times in the previous decade. If someone had told me in 1990, that we would have to wait 30 years for another title, I wouldn’t have believed them. But wait we did. Thirty years of near-misses, bad luck and mediocre teams.

Over those years, we have had to learn the lessons of humility, patience and unity. Enter Jurgen Klopp. The mad German manager, with his Heavy Metal Football, passion and pride. He brought the belief back to Liverpool and we are now English, European and World Champions. Let the story continue…
